"In recent days, our members have been diligently preparing the ski area on Romanija. Considering the great interest and turnout in previous seasons, we have used our own resources to procure and install a children's ski lift from the Canadian brand Schippers. This addition will significantly enhance the efficiency and capacity of the ski area," stated the Mountaineering Society "Glasinac" from Sokolac.

They emphasized that there is already enough snow and expressed confidence that skiing will begin by the end of the month.

Thanks to the efforts of the Mountaineering Society "Glasinac," Romanija has gained various mountain-related amenities over the years, particularly those catering to children. The Nadromanija location near the "Crvene stijene" mountain lodge now boasts a ski slope with a lift designed specifically for young learners.

Everything has been set up to ensure that the youngest residents of Sokolac, as well as visitors to Romanija, can take their first skiing steps and enjoy winter sports.

It is worth noting that the first recorded alpine climb on Romanija dates back to 1920, when the famous Djevojačka stijena, locally known as "Đeva," was conquered. Since then, the steep cliffs of this legendary mountain have become a training ground for both novice climbers and those seeking genuine alpine challenges.
