The largest city in Republika Srpska is gearing up for an unforgettable New Year's celebration, highlighted by spectacular concerts on New Year's Eve.
"This year, Banjaluka will shine in all its glory with carefully planned decorations, including new locations like city parks and squares. We are particularly proud of the creative and photogenic spots that will provide unforgettable memories and showcase Banjaluka as a city of fun to the world," said Milada Šukalo, the advisor to the Mayor of Banjaluka.
The centerpiece of the program is the "Zimzobal" festival, offering dozens of cultural and entertainment events throughout December and early January for all generations.
Local restaurateurs have prepared a rich array of gastronomic delights to enhance visitors' experiences.
The official opening of the "Banjaluka Winter" is set for December 1, featuring a lantern release and activities for all age groups, capped with a spectacular Santa Claus welcome. Throughout the month, the city will host numerous engaging events at various locations.
New Year's Eve promises an unforgettable party with performances by regional stars Senidah, Đorđe David, and Ivana Peters.
For the youngest, a traditional children's New Year's celebration is planned, followed by a "New Year's Eve reprise" the next day, featuring local artists performing at multiple locations across the city.
The "Banjaluka Winter" program concludes on January 14 with the celebration of the Orthodox New Year, rounding off this season of festive joy in a truly unique way.
"We invite all citizens and visitors to join us in celebrating and enjoying the planned events. Banjaluka awaits you," city officials announced, noting that nearly all hotel accommodations in the city are fully booked for New Year's Eve.
