In recent days, the Health Inspection Department of the City of Banja Luka, along with workers from the Public Health Institute of the Republic of Srpska, took water samples from a total of seven swimming spots.
Five samples were taken from locations on the Vrbas River
and two from the Vrbanja River.
The microbiological safety of the water at traditional
swimming spots on these rivers was tested. According to the findings, the water
is safe for swimming at Vrućica on the Vrbas River and Zeleni Vir on the
Vrbanja River, the department reports.
The water sampled at these locations is considered safe for swimming, water sports, and recreation.
On the other hand, at the swimming spots Slap, Naša Plaža,
Abacija, Zelena on the Vrbas River, and Žuti Most on the Vrbanja River, the
water is not safe for swimming, according to the findings, the department
states.
Additionally, analyses were conducted on the outdoor pools
"Akvana" and "Fortuna."
The sanitary and hygienic conditions of the pools and
associated areas meet the regulations. The parameters measured daily and
multiple times indicate that the water is safe for swimming. According to the
Public Health Institute of the Republic of Srpska, the pool water is safe for
swimming, with water sampling and testing conducted three times a month, the
department noted.
