This announcement came from Mayor Draško Stanivuković, emphasizing that what was once a neglected thoroughfare has been transformed into a modern promenade in the heart of our city.

- We've created a livelier and more open space, enriched with modern aesthetics, accompanying amenities, and lush greenery, enhancing this part of our city, the mayor stated.

He also announced that the city administration will continue its urban mobility plan, which includes reducing the number of vehicles in the central city core.

- We will continue to convert streets in the city center into pedestrian zones. Our idea is to adapt the city center to pedestrians and cyclists, while relocating automobile traffic away from the city core, Stanivuković remarked.

In addition to the new promenade, the mayor revealed plans for the completion of a park in the center of a roundabout, as well as a project to illuminate the Kastel fortress, promising to give this part of our city a completely new look.
