The construction of the Cyrillic Park in the largest city of Republika Srpska, as well as the opportunity for individuals and legal entities to purchase one of the 30 letters, has received great support from the citizens, who are expressing their desire to participate in the purchase on a daily basis.
Many citizens of Banja Luka want to be benefactors and leave
something for future generations in their city, and to inscribe their families
among those who have made the city on the Vrbas River more beautiful and
contributed to preserving our script - said the Mayor of Banja Luka, Draško
Stanivuković.
This idea originated from the distinguished professor and writer Tihomir Levajac.
I am glad that it will be realized exactly in the place he
proposed. This place will be arranged as a sign of gratitude to him. We nurture
Cyrillic best when we use it, whether we write or decorate the city with the
most beautiful script. Each donor will be able to choose a dedication to be
placed on the letter - emphasized Stanivuković.
All interested parties who want to purchase a letter and
thus leave a legacy to their city can contact via email:
cirilicni.park@gmail.com or via contact phone: 066/664-422 on weekdays from
9.00 to 14.00.
As a reminder, the Cyrillic Park will be built on the site
of the so-called Banja Luka "cabbage field".
