DO YOU KNOW THE LEGEND OF THE BRIDGE IN TRAPISTI?

The old bridge in the Banja Luka neighborhood of Trapisti, which was restored last year, holds an intriguing story that locals have been sharing for decades.

This bridge, built by the monastic order of the Banja Luka Trappists, is said to have been constructed using a special technique known only to these monks. Allegedly, every subsequent attempt to rebuild the bridge or move it slightly downstream ended with the Vrbas river, with its swift current and strength, sweeping the bridge away.

For this reason, the idea of "relocating" the bridge was abandoned, and the original structure has remained unchanged.

Nearby, there is now a restaurant with a view of the Vrbas river, and not far from this location is the first hydroelectric power plant built in Banja Luka.
