The Regional Chamber of Commerce in Banja Luka has expanded its operations by establishing the Committee for Video Game Production and Design, as part of the Council for Cultural and Creative Industries.
This initiative marks a significant step towards advancing the domestic video game industry and promoting it both nationally and internationally.
The video game industry, generating revenues of $193 billion in 2023, is one of the most promising sectors globally, offering substantial opportunities for domestic companies to compete on the world stage.
The Committee's mission includes actively advocating for the interests of the domestic video game industry before relevant institutions and international partners, fostering networking among companies, and organizing educational and promotional activities to boost industry growth.
The founding members of the Committee include companies Legit d.o.o., 3PKO, storyBORDER, Monotik Digital, and the Audio-Visual Center of Republika Srpska. Stefan Filipović (Legit) was elected as the Committee's president, while Bojan Tripković (3PKO) assumed the role of vice president.
During the inaugural session, gratitude was expressed to guests from the German Development Agency (GIZ), the City Development Agency "CIDEA," and the Ministry of Education and Culture of Republika Srpska for their support and recognition of the potential within the domestic video game industry.
The Committee invites all domestic video game companies, as well as other interested local and international organizations, to join as full members or observers. By doing so, they can become part of one of the most promising industries of the future.
