The American Balkan Trade Chamber (ABTC) was officially launched this Sunday, dedicated to fostering stronger economic ties and business opportunities between the United States and the Balkan region.
As stated in a press release, the Chamber will serve as a vital bridge, connecting American companies with emerging markets in Southeastern Europe and supporting Balkan businesses seeking expansion into the U.S. market.
ABTC will focus on key sectors such as technology, agriculture, energy, infrastructure, and digitization—areas that show significant growth potential and complementary strengths in both regions.
The establishment of the American Balkan Trade Chamber marks a milestone in transatlantic trade relations.
“The Balkan region offers immense opportunities for American companies, while the U.S. market represents significant potential for Balkan businesses. Our mission is to facilitate this two-way exchange and build lasting partnerships,” said Eliza Prendzov, President of ABTC, as reported by eKapija.
ABTC’s key initiatives include promoting and facilitating investments; organizing trade missions and business delegation exchanges; providing market entry consulting services; hosting networking and business matchmaking events; advocating policy and offering regulatory guidance; running business education programs; and promoting tourism.
The Chamber will begin with founding members from both American and Balkan companies, representing various industries, and reflecting a strong interest in deepening economic relations between the two regions.
The inaugural event will take place in New York on March 27, 2025, offering opportunities for networking and panel discussions focused on market entry strategies and intercultural business practices.
The American Balkan Trade Chamber (ABTC) is a non-profit organization committed to promoting trade and investment between the United States and all countries in the Balkan region. The Chamber will serve companies of all sizes, from startups to multinational corporations, providing resources and connections for success in both markets.
