Construction work on the Swiss Park Odžak project commenced in mid-January, with Swiss Immobilie as the investor. The first phase includes five residential blocks, each containing 16 apartments.
The owner of the company, Hans Ulrich Lischer, has been active in Bosnia and Herzegovina for 12 years through another company operating in Odžak. Interestingly, Lischer, who recently retired, chose to make this significant investment in Bosnia and Herzegovina to "give back" to the people of Odžak for what they have provided him over the years.
The apartments will be accessible to everyone, as his goal is to deliver the best possible quality at affordable prices. This initiative aims to offer both younger and older generations the warmth of their own home.
Speaking about the project to BiznisInfo.ba, Miralem Devedžić, the director of Swiss Immobilie, highlighted Lischer's vision. "After 12 years of operating his initial company in Odžak, the investor retired. Recognizing the potential of our society and country, he initiated the Swiss Park project," said Devedžić.
He described the company as a startup focused on real estate development and sales in one of Odžak's most attractive locations. "After years of successful business in this area, Mr. Lischer decided to continue investing in the community, enhancing its quality of life and attractiveness to both local and foreign residents. The fact that he embarked on this project post-retirement shows that his primary motivation is the development of Odžak and the well-being of its residents. Additionally, he hopes to inspire other foreign investors to invest in this community," Devedžić emphasized.
The project's first phase has already begun.
Depending on demand and community interest, the company has 30,000 square meters of land available for future development. The project also includes plans for a green park, a children's playground, and several commercial spaces.
The total investment value will depend on the realization of different project phases. "The location itself shows that this project is not purely commercial. A comparison of apartment prices in larger Bosnian cities and smaller communities like Odžak reveals a significant difference in potential profit. This further proves that the primary goal of the project is to invest in the community's development. Additional indicators of this commitment include sponsorships, investments in sports and culture, and other projects supported by the investor over the years," Devedžić stated.
He also announced plans to open an exhibition showroom in April 2025 to better present the project's vision and significance to the public.
