NEVESINJE MATERNITY HOSPITAL BREAKS RECORD

In Nevesinje Hospital in 2023, 241 babies were born.

Compared to the previous year, the Nevesinje maternity hospital saw 31 more babies born. Among the newborns, 82 are children whose parents reside in Nevesinje, which is five more than in 2022.

Expectant mothers from the entire region chose to entrust one of the most important moments of their life to the skilled staff and personnel of the Nevesinje hospital.

There were 52 mothers from Bileća, 45 from Gacko, 41 from Trebinje, 13 from Ljubinje, and 3 from Berkovići. Two mothers came from Belgrade, and one each from Prijedor, Teslić, and Nikšić. A few years ago, the Nevesinje maternity hospital introduced epidural childbirth, and spinal anesthesia is used for cesarean deliveries.
