On July 10, Niagara Falls will be illuminated in the colors of the Serbian flag to mark the 168th anniversary of the birth of Serbian scientist and genius Nikola Tesla.
- On the 168th anniversary of Nikola Tesla's birth, the International Nikola Tesla Days Festival will kick off with a flag-raising ceremony in front of the Niagara Falls City Hall in Canada, and the falls will be lit in the colors of the Serbian tricolor, said Borislav Živković, director of the festival.
Živković announced that on Friday, July 12, at 7:00 PM, the first international scientific and spiritual conference dedicated to the great Serbian scientist Nikola Tesla will be held at the "Niagara Parks" station.
He emphasized that this special event will be opened by the young star of Serbian opera, Marija Jelić, with her magnificent voice right below Tesla's transformer.
- Our program will also feature a video and audio show at the hydroelectric power station, and at the very end, we will visit the tunnel beneath the falls where we will have the opportunity to enjoy a unique view and fireworks that will crown the entire event, said Živković.
On Saturday, July 13, at 5:00 PM, the 15th "Nikola Tesla Day" will begin with a flower-laying ceremony at the Nikola Tesla monument in the square that bears his name.
- A few hundred meters from Nikola Tesla Square, from 6:00 PM until almost midnight, the second international festival will be held in Queen Victoria Park. This unique and arguably the largest festival in the world dedicated exclusively to Nikola Tesla will provide an opportunity for young and talented artists from all over North America to showcase their talents in various fields through a cultural and artistic program. The festival is tailored for all ages and is free for all visitors, Živković emphasized.
Živković invited everyone who can to attend the conference and festival, enriching this unique event with their presence.
- Let us once again show the whole world how proud we are of our Nikola Tesla, his heritage, and that we belong to a nation that has given humanity such a genius, Živković stressed.
