BANJALUKA AIRPORT RECORDS INCREASE IN PASSENGER NUMBERS

Banjaluka Airport registered 28,210 passengers in January this year, marking an increase of 7,728 passengers or 37.7% compared to the same month last year.

A total of 286 flight operations were conducted, significantly more than the 214 recorded in January 2024, according to a statement from the airport management.

"We are successfully wrapping up the winter season, with January standing out as a particularly strong month, showing a substantial increase in passenger numbers compared to the same period last year," the statement noted.

The company has already begun planning for the summer season, focusing on maintaining and enhancing its core operations of providing air traffic services.

"Our goal is to elevate this service to the highest standards in the global aviation industry. This involves ensuring that the airport remains fully operational in compliance with all aviation requirements and standards," the statement emphasized.

Banjaluka Airport also aims to continue its successful cooperation with airline partners Ryanair, Wizz Air, and Air Serbia, while preparing for seasonal charter flights and negotiating new destinations.

For the summer flight schedule, the airport will maintain connections to Karlsruhe, Gothenburg, Memmingen, Vienna, Stockholm, Dortmund, Basel, Mulhouse, and Belgrade.

"In line with our capabilities and with the support of the Government of Republika Srpska, we will continue to work on improving infrastructure and implementing measures to provide passengers with enhanced services at the airport," the statement concluded.
