The exhibition "Reunion" by Dragan Kovačević is open in the exhibition space "Vrbaska Banovina" at Banski Dvor.
This exhibition serves as a reminder of June 8, 1922, the
wedding of Romanian Princess Maria and Yugoslav King Alexander I Karađorđević,
attended by his wife Nada and lawyer, member of parliament, and future ban of
Vrbaska Banovina Dr. Todor Lazarević. It was her first official public
appearance.
Visitors have the opportunity to see a reconstruction of
Queen Maria of Yugoslavia's wedding dress and parts of the jewelry, a gift from
King Alexander, crafted by fashion designer Aleksandar Petarić from Valjevo.
Reconstructions of the wedding dress and one of Queen Maria of Yugoslavia's evening gowns, as well as reconstructions of the most representative pieces of her jewelry, are on display, along with a series of lesser-known photographs from her life.
Visitors also have the chance to see replicas of one of the
most luxurious evening gowns of Banica Nada Lazarević, adorned with
approximately 5,000 crystal stones.
The thematic exhibition by Dragan Kovačević, displayed
within the permanent exhibition space "Vrbaska Banovina," is
available for viewing on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM.
Group and special visits outside the established hours can
be arranged by calling 065 834 336.
