NATURE PARK 'PRAČA' DECLARED IN EASTERN REPUBLIC OF SRPSKA
The Nature Park "Prača" is situated in the eastern part of the Republic of Srpska, encompassing the middle section of the Prača River and its basin, within the territories of the municipalities of Rogatica and Pale.
In 1957, the Institute for the Protection of Cultural Monuments and Natural Rarities issued three separate Decisions to protect the canyons in the Prača River canyon, the Banj Stijene cave, and the Govještice cave.
The decision to declare the Nature Park "Prača" was made by the Government of the Republic of Srpska on April 1, 2021.
Within the Nature Park, various forms of endogenous and exogenous relief are widespread, with karst relief being dominant along with its formations.
Among surface forms, sinkholes are the most prevalent.
Numerous forms of tourism could be realized in this area, including eco-tourism, scientific and recreational tourism, health tourism, historical and cultural tourism, as well as adventure tourism.
