The construction of the church began in 2004, and by 2009, it was officially declared a monastery, with monastic life being established. That same year, the publishing house "Dabar" of the Metropolitanate of Dabar-Bosnia was relocated here, including the editorial offices of the magazines Dabar and Soko.

Within the monastery complex, a bookstore and a chapel dedicated to Saint Basil of Ostrog were built.

Since 2012, the Serbian Sokol Society "Soko" has also had its headquarters here.

The Monastery of Saint Nicholas is situated at the confluence of the Udrulja and Budimlija rivers, beneath Mount Varda. The church was erected at the very site where Dragoljub "Draža" Mihailović was captured on March 13, 1946, leading to the informal name "Draževina".

The construction of the monastery complex began with the consecration of the foundations in 2004, blessed by Metropolitan Nikolaj of Dabar-Bosnia, at which time a monument to Mihailović was also erected.

The complex includes the monastery church, partially adorned with frescoes, a monastic residence (konak), a bookstore, a chapel dedicated to Saint Basil of Ostrog, and the wooden Church of the Annunciation of the Holy Theotokos in the village of Vagan-Kruščanje.

The Monastery of Saint Nicholas is a male monastery and belongs to the Metropolitanate of Dabar-Bosnia.
