Organized by the Office of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management of the Republic of Srpska and the Agricultural Cluster of the Sarajevo-Romanija and Upper Drina Region, the exhibition and sales fair aims to promote these two exceptional products, both of which carry protected geographical indication labels.

Held for the fifth consecutive year, this year’s event took place at Trg Srbija in East New Sarajevo, featuring around 25 exhibitors who presented a rich, diverse, and high-quality range of local products.

Visitors had the opportunity to taste and purchase traditional dairy and agricultural products, with special attention given to the famous Rogatica potato and Romanija skorup (cream-kajmak), both widely recognized for their authentic flavor and quality.

Local producer Dragan Motika, known for his cultivation of both seed and table potatoes, shared his satisfaction with this year’s yield despite somewhat unfavorable weather conditions.

“The weather wasn’t ideal, but I’m very pleased with the results. Events like this mean a lot for us producers because they allow direct contact with customers and promotion of our local products,” Motika said.

The manifestation once again confirmed the importance of preserving traditional production and promoting local brands, which represent not only the agricultural strength but also the cultural heritage of the Romanija region.
