IS SNOW COMING IN OCTOBER?

According to meteorologists, the upcoming week will bring diverse weather conditions with a pronounced temperature inversion and cold southeast winds. Daily temperatures will range between 15°C and 20°C, offering pleasant conditions for most of the day. However, morning temperatures will be much colder, ranging from 5°C to 10°C.

IS SNOW COMING IN OCTOBER?

Meteorologist Ivan Ristić predicts a cold wind surge by midweek. “Changes in global atmospheric circulation have resulted in a moderately continental climate dominating our region.

During the next week, the combination of the Azores and Siberian anticyclones will significantly influence the weather. These anticyclones bring stable atmospheric conditions, but also temperature fluctuations,” says Ristić.

Marko Čubrilo also forecasts stable weather in our part of Europe, under the influence of a strong anticyclone that will bring dry conditions.

“Until around October 25th, the weather is expected to remain stable, with cold nights and mornings, occasionally accompanied by fog. In high-altitude mountain areas above 1,500 meters, ground frost may occur. During the day, expect partly cloudy to mostly sunny skies with very pleasant temperatures,” explains Čubrilo.

Maximum temperatures will range from 14°C to 23°C, while in the southern parts of the region, temperatures could locally reach around 26°C.

He adds that between October 18th and 20th, the southeastern wind may intensify in certain areas.

“Around October 25th, there is a possibility of worsening weather and a more significant cold spell, which could, based on current data, bring the first real snow cover to the mountain regions. As this is still a distant forecast, there’s no need to dwell on it too much. Instead, let's enjoy the next ten days, which will bring the beautiful side of autumn,” concludes Čubrilo.
