Nikola Kokić, spokesperson for the Trebinje Tourist Organization, told "SRNA" that the data comes from hotel reports and the Booking.com platform, suggesting the actual number might be even higher due to many travelers in transit.

"We are pleased to note that visitors to Trebinje stayed for two to three nights on average, with the composition of tourists remaining consistent with previous years. Tourists from Serbia make up around 50% of the total, followed by visitors from North Macedonia, Croatia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina," Kokić stated.

He emphasized that guests from Montenegro actively sought accommodation in Trebinje despite the extensive holiday programs in their own areas.

"We’ve also observed a notable presence of international tourists, particularly smaller groups from Turkey and China," Kokić added.

December alone saw approximately 8,000 hotel stays in Trebinje.

"When we look at the figures for the entire year of 2024, they have already surpassed the record numbers of 2023," Kokić noted.

The Trebinje Tourist Organization plans to release detailed statistics once all registered private accommodations submit their data.
