A large student protest was held in Belgrade, with citizens flowing into the city center from all parts of the city.

"Herzegovina is a land of honor and bravery, a land that has given birth to some of the wisest Serbs, and now it is portrayed as a land of ignorance and dishonor. We are striving to restore the former glory of our Herzegovina, defending it with beauty and knowledge," said Peđa, a student from the University of Belgrade, originally from Gacko, in a statement to “Direkt.”

Several public figures supported the students. Among them were Novak Đoković and his wife Jelena, basketball players Bogdan Bogdanović and Nikola Kalinić, and actor Tihomir Stanić, who also joined the protest.

In Doboj, citizens gathered in the "Narodni heroja" park to peacefully show their support for the students from Serbia.

Meanwhile, in the largest city of Republika Srpska, a support rally was held at noon in the student campus.
