PUBLIC CALL ANNOUNCED FOR CONCESSION OF VILINA VLAS THERMAL WATERS

The Ministry of Energy and Mining of Republika Srpska has issued a public call for awarding a concession for the exploitation of thermal mineral waters at Vilina Vlas spa, located in the municipality of Višegrad.

The project involves utilizing thermal mineral waters from boreholes SB-1 and SB-2 for health tourism and balneological purposes. The estimated investment required for the exploitation project is 111,000 BAM.

TERMS OF THE CONCESSION

Interested bidders must submit a Feasibility Study for the concession, which includes environmental impact assessment elements. This study must be prepared by a company or legal entity authorized to draft technical documentation in the field of mining.

The maximum duration of the concession is set at 30 years, as stated in the public call. The minimum concession fee for the granted rights is 5,550 BAM, while the fee for the use of thermal mineral waters amounts to 3.6% of the revenue generated through concession activities.

ELIGIBILITY AND DEADLINES

Both domestic and international legal entities, as well as consortia of two or more legally connected entities, are eligible to participate in the public call.

The deadline for submitting bids is 30 days from the date of the public announcement.

INITIATIVE AND BONUS SYSTEM

The initiative to begin the concession award process was proposed by the Public Institution Rehabilitation Center Vilina Vlas. The initiative’s proponent will receive a 10% bonus in evaluation points based on the technical and economic-financial aspects of the proposed solution.
