TREBINJE BREAKS RECORDS ONCE AGAIN

Kokić highlighted that from May to September, 100,000 overnight stays were recorded, with 27,000 in August alone, which is 4,000 more than last year.

"We have no doubt that this year will set another historical record in tourist traffic in Trebinje, especially when compared to 2023, which was a record year with 201,000 overnight stays," Kokić added.

When it comes to tourists visiting Trebinje, Kokić noted that guests from the region dominate, with tourists from Serbia accounting for 45% of the total tourist traffic.

"We also have visitors from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Croatia, Turkey, Greece, as well as new markets such as the Netherlands, China, Spain, and North Macedonia. We are extremely satisfied with the summer tourist season," Kokić told Srna.

He further stated that the focus of the City Administration, the Tourist Organization, and all stakeholders in the tourism sector is to continuously enrich the city's tourist offerings.

"This year, a key attraction is the viewpoint above Trebinje, which has added value to our city's offering. The bridges in the city center have been decoratively lit, which has certainly contributed to a new dimension of the city," Kokić told Srna.

He emphasized that the city strives each year to offer something new for tourists, both through public and private initiatives, ensuring that Trebinje remains an interesting destination for all visitors to the southernmost city of Republika Srpska.
